Organised olive, summer 2018 issue 2

Our resident agony aunt Organised Olive is here to assist you with your event dilemmas. Just send her a question and she’ll be happy to impart her knowledge.

Dear Organised Olive,

I work for a small UK based company whose employees are split between 2 offices, one in the North and one in the South. We know of each other due to daily emails and phone calls, but haven’t all met face to face. This year, for the first time, we are having an away day together. What ice breaker would you suggest that allows us to get to know each other on a more personal level than just learning what each other look like?

Sacha, Manchester

Dearest Sacha,

Well how exciting! I can guarantee there will be some surprises, just try to not let them show on your face dear. I think your group could enjoy a round of Human Bingo. Sweep away visions of large bingo halls with sequin covered bingo callers, oh no, this is much more fun. Participants will receive a bingo card with either a fact or photo on it to link it to one of their colleagues. Everyone will need to mingle and chat to each other in order to find out which fact/image relates to who. The first person to complete their bingo card is the winner. The facts can be customised, so either work related or not. It could even be a mixture of both, just imagine what you could learn about Brad from sales…

Kindest regards,

Olive
